Hi, I’m Linda

Welcome to my blog, Love, Linda Jo. You’ll find stories of our life on the mission field, resources for pastors, & some life lessons I’ve learned along the way.

Kenya Trip- July 2023

Let’s go!

Team USA departs from Atlanta, Ga.

My son, Jeff; daughter in-law, Laurie; granddaughter, Bri; and Dr. Jacqueline Ojimba took two 8+ hour flights to get to Nairobi. From there, it is a 51/2 hour drive to Tharaka.

Making a difference

Bri is an exccpetional education teacher here in the U.S. and was able to use some of her experience to work with children with developmental delays and learning challenges.

Also pictured is Monica: one of our amazing house moms who shares the love of Jesus with our children every day.

Years ago, we realized there was a need to equip moms by teaching about maternal and infant healthcare, to encourage them with teachings from God’s Word, and to provide opportunities to build community. We called them Mama Linda’s Clubs. During my visit, I had the privilege to attend several of these meetings and to pray with the women.

Mama Linda’s Club

This mother of twins impressed me withher ability to carry both her babies in her kangas, as is the tradition in Kenya.

Chapel Service

During chapel I shared with the children and staff from Psalms 71:18.

“ Even when I am old and grey, do not forsake me Oh God, til I declare your power to the next generation…”
